Leave it on the Altar!

Leave it on the Altar!

Praying for my children is one of the hardest and greatest lessons that I have ever had to learn. I found it very hard to lay them on the altar and walk away. Oh, I done what I thought was right by having each one dedicated soon after they were born. I gave them back to their creator and vowed to never interfere between them and whatever God called them to do, but to be truthful I didn’t hold up my end of the vow exactly. I didn’t raise them biblically. Not as I should have.
I  had to learn that no matter where I feel like I might’ve been lacking in my experience as a mother, I never lacked in love...AND Love never fails! I realize the best place for my children was on the altar of my Lord. Praying earnestly that He take them and mold them into what He needed them to be. Yet, every time I turned away I thought about if the Lord knew them like I did….. Only to remember Jeremiah 1:5 which that before He formed them in the womb, He knew them.      Why did I feel I needed to tell Him anything? Psalm 139:13-14 teaches that He created their inner most being, they were knit together in my womb. They were fearfully and wonderfully made. Still, when I saw them going through things I would run back to that altar and pick them up and hold them in my arms crying out, "Lord, do You know what is happening?" Isaiah 49:16 They are inscribed on the palms of His hands; and their walls are continually before Him. He knows what’s happening!
I have learned to leave them on the altar. To truly turn them over to Him. To walk out PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 And not be anxious about anything, but to pray and ask God, and His peace which transcends all understanding, will guard my heart and mind.
He trusted me with these children and I have learned to trust them with my Lord. For this is his promise: ISAIAH 54:13 “All your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace.”

Hold on to that!

EAGLES

It’s the eagle that teaches her young
By removing the comfort from the nest
She then teaches them how to fly
By pushing them towards their best

This eagle which flies alone
The highest of any other bird
Soars way out above the mountain top
Up where our prayers are heard

This symbol of power and freedom
Transcends over the coming rain
There’s strength above the storm
There’s healing for all the pain

Eagles covet their young in life
Pushing them above the line
While they stare straight into the sun
To intercede among the divine

Though we see them soaring golden
They do not know their worth
But to be sure it is the eagles
Lifting the veil above the earth.

ANCIENT OF DAYS

Ancient of Days

Oh grander was the quiet night
When You walked into the room
Peace was spread across the space
Wrapped in covered gloom

Oh silent was the footsteps
Of the Ancient One of Days
As He lingered in our presence
And filtered thru our ways

Collectively we welcomed Him
Wondering if we gave at all
The measure that was due to Him
Since He had come to call

We were weeping in the glory
The tears synchronized our heart
Be aware there’s been a shifting
A brand new day will start!
