It’s the eagle that teaches her young By removing the comfort from the nest She then teaches them how to fly By pushing them towards their best This eagle which flies alone The highest of any other bird Soars way out above the mountain top Up where our prayers are heard This symbol of power and freedom Transcends over the coming rain There’s strength above the storm There’s healing for all the pain Eagles covet their young in life Pushing them above the line While they stare straight into the sun To intercede among the divine Though we see them soaring golden They do not know their worth But to be sure it is the eagles Lifting the veil above the earth.
