Miracle Worker,
Did you realize that the first 3 miracles that Moses and Aaron released, that Pharaoh’s magicians performed the same miracles?
1.Staff to Snake
2.Water to Blood
3.Plague of Frogs
BUT, after that they were done! The magicians could not keep up with Moses and Aaron! Once the dust in Egypt was turned into a plague of lice, it was over! The magicians themselves told Pharaoh it must be the hand of God that is with Moses and Aaron! Yes, Pharaoh fought util his doom, but the magicians were quickly defeated.
”Now the magicians so worked with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not. So there were lice on man and beast. Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart grew hard, and he did not heed them, just as the Lord had said.“ Exodus 8:18-19 NKJV
Sometimes you have to wear the enemy out. I suppose that’s what happened here. These men did not back down and they obeyed God no matter the intensity of the confrontation. Faith does not quit! It endures to the end! Obey God and win your battle, trusting Him to see you through.
Endurance should be a weapon in every Christian’s arsenal. We have to keep moving forward! Do not quit even if the enemy is “matching” your every move. Keep going and wear him out!!! A good chess player would say, “Check mate!” Sometimes we think that when the enemy is coming back at us that we are losing. It does not mean that. It means we are in a fight. The enemy wants us to think he is winning so that we will quit, but we cannot quit. We must fight the good fight of faith and keep at it. Do not back down.
Once Moses and Aaron hit them with the fourth plague, the magicians were done. I guess you can say it was a "shown down." The magicians were never able to compete with Moses and Aaron’s miracles again. God’s power is far more magnificent than every evil work, every wizard, and every magician. You can’t wear God out! He never slumbers. He is the great I Am!
He will not allow your foot to slip; He who watches over you will not slumber. Psalms 121:3
Keep hitting the enemy back! He will fall!
