The Lord dropped this in my spirit early one  morning around 4:00am.

Sometimes we question the opposition in a person’s life and assume they are obviously doing something wrong and allowing the enemy in their life somewhere and somehow. That can be the case in many instances of course. However, consider this.

Oaks of Righteousness did not become Oaks because their lives were seemingly easy. To be rooted and grounded in Christ deeply (as oaks have deep roots) means you had to dig your heels in. Regardless of the intensity of the raging winds and the storms that followed, you kept your gaze on Jesus and plowed through your storms over and over again! You did not buckle nor did you break! You endured by holding fast to the confession of your faith.

The next time “inquiring minds” want to know where all the turbulence is coming from in your life and the enemy accuses you to you, think about Oaks of Righteousness. Not that our righteousness has any power or comes from our works, but because we are in “covenant with God” through His Lamb. Jesus, Himself clothes us in His righteousness.

I would add that I believe our Robe of Righteousness is none other than the Lamb’s skin- the body that was broken for us. This alone has enabled us to hold on and make it through every heart ache, pain, sickness, trauma, and even death. We are in covenant with the all-powerful One and when we dig in deep, our roots are anchored into Christ and because of Him we can weather any storm.

Maybe you have experienced storm after storm. Look at this way. Jesus believes in you. He has faith that you can make it. He shed his skin and wrapped you in it so that you would make it. The enemy meant to break you, but The Lord has promised to hold you, help you, and raise a champion.

If you made it this far, you are an Oak. It may seem a small matter here on earth, but in heaven Oaks of Righteousness carry the testimony of Jesus. Give a shout of THANKS BE TO GOD and carry on. You got this.
