Sisters and Friends,
On August 3, 2023, I had a dream. This dream took place at a festival, and everyone was having a good time with no worries or cares about this world. It stood out to me that everyone was only concerned about what was going on at this festival and they were somewhat joyful.
A shift in the atmosphere took place during the festivities as the crowd was called to come up on a mountain. At one point, we heard a voice say, “Push, Push!” I knew instantly that the shift taking place was a shift into intercession. It was a call to action.
Afterward, the crowd of people went back to the festival and the sun began to set. Once there, this place of festivities was now full of people who were known to be addicted. As the two crowds merged, it was known that those in addiction had been set free. In that moment, the moon rose above the mountains, bringing light to the darkness!
I believe everyone reading this has been affected by someone they love who has been bound by addiction. It is easy for us to get caught up in the festivities of life and continue in a level of joy. In this dream, those in addiction were not a part of the festival in the beginning. Out of sight, out of mind is often how the addiction epidemic is treated due to the hurt, anger, and fear we have felt from it.
God is calling us to action! He is asking us to climb a mountain of difficulty and push. We are to push in intercession and pray for freedom to come to the addicted ones and their families. We are to pray until something happens! P.U.S.H. Ask for light to come to the darkness.
I personally felt this. I have a family member in bondage to addiction, but also a neighbor who passed away from an overdose two weeks after I had this dream. As I watched my neighbor get carried out in a body bag, with his father mourning, and his friends devastated, my understanding of the significance of this dream was brought to light. It hit home. As grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, and friends we must answer the call. We must answer the call of intercession, to push for a breakthrough in addiction.
The pushing in the dream brought forth freedom. I want us to see that. I want to see us carrying this dream into reality. I want to see the moon rise over this difficult mountain and light breakthrough the darkness! I want to see the Push!
Push, Mountain Mommas, PUSH!
