To the Praying Women of Prodigals,

I want to encourage the women who have been praying for a loved one. Whether it has been a week, a month, a year or years. Keep praying! Matthew 7:7-11 tells us to keep asking, keep knocking and keep seeking! I encourage you to seek God's Word for His promises that you can stand on and proclaim. Proverbs 18:21 says, "The tongue has the power of life and death." Please, be careful in what you speak. Proclaim what the Lord proclaims over your inheritance. Don't let the enemy lie to you and tell you, "They will never change." Don't speak that. Don't listen to the lie, "It is because of your past that they are away from the Lord." Know who you are and whose you are.

You are a child of God. Christ lives in you (Colossians 1:27).  You are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). There is NO shame (Romans 8:1). You have to believe these scriptures for yourself so that you can overcome and squash anything that tries to hinder your prayers. I am writing this to encourage you not because my prayers have manifested in the physical yet, but because I believe they have in the Spiritual. I have been praying for 8 years consistently. I don't give up and I don't give in no matter what the circumstances look like. I stand. I know my Father does not lie and His Word is true. I encourage you to speak, proclaim, decree and stand on the Word of God! Say it OUT LOUD. Place your loved ones name in the scriptures and declare (Acts 16:31-34) your inheritance. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than a 2 edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). So speak it over your loved ones. Ask the Lord which scriptures you can stand on in faith for your loved ones as you read His Word out loud. When you read the Word, faith will rise because  faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God. The Word strengthens our faith and causes us to trust in Christ. It builds a firm foundation.

I also want to encourage you to get around people that stand on the promises of God with you. Distance yourself from the people who don't speak faith-filled words or live in your situation. Love them from afar, but get connected with groups that have a solid Bible believing ministry, with prayer as the center. Ministries like Mountain Momma Rising and WV Prayer Alliance.

Let me encourage you in one more area. Don't look at your situation with your physical eyes. Look at the situation with your spiritual eyes. I am not saying you should pretend like it doesn't exist. Weather your storms in a Christ-like manner (show Christ) not with negative human emotions. Remember who we are fighting (Ephesians 6:12). The battle is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers over this present darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. We are seated in heavenly realms, fight from there. You have someone on your side. Jesus. HE is interceding for you and your loved one. Look at it all with heaven's perspective, a place of victory!

I pray this has encouraged you to continue standing in faith. Lace up your boots, put on your backpack! Get your sword and fight for your inheritance!

Here are some of my favorite scriptures I stand on for my loved ones. I place their names in the scriptures and pray it out loud.

Isaiah 43:5-7, Isaiah 49:24-25, Isaiah 49:8-9, Isaiah 44:1-5, Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 62:1, Jeremiah 31:15-17, Ezekiel 22:30, Ezekiel 11:18-20, Ezekiel 36:25-30

I pray God's light into their darkness!

Psalms 18:28, Psalms 139:7,11-12, Isaiah 42:16, John 1:4-5, Acts 26:18, Romans 13:11-12, Ephesians 5:13-14, Colossians 1:11-14,

Then, I declare who they are 1 Peter 2:9-10 and speak Isaiah 55:8-11!  For God's Word will go out and do what He desires it to do

Be Encouraged today and Stand!
